A history of The Township of Emily in The County of Victoria
Here is a history of the township, beginning with the arrival of settlers in the years prior to 1820 and progressing onward through the decades. The early pioneers came from 1818 on through until 1825. In 1825, a large number of families were settled in Emily through the Irish emigration that took place in that year.

Through the pages of succeeding chapters, the growth and development of communities and homesteads are followed from 1825 into the decade of the 1850s.
